South-eastward throughlower Attica extend lower ranges to its extremepo<strong>in</strong>t, " Sunium's marbled steep." The systemdoes not end with <strong>the</strong> ma<strong>in</strong>l<strong>and</strong>, but reappears <strong>in</strong><strong>the</strong> JEgean isles, Zea, Kythnos, Seriphos, Siphnos,which are but <strong>the</strong> tops of submergedmounta<strong>in</strong>s of <strong>the</strong> same formation.
