The trainer operationsmanager: PT division is part of the Education and Training team but also works closely withthe national personal trainer and assessor teams for programmes such as InteractiveCoaching for Success: 10 Minute Gym, ViPR, PTA Global, Pro PT and PTontheNet.The positionPredominantly responsible for the success of ViPR training, delivery and distribution globally,and also directly responsible for the effective and efficient running of 10 Minute Gym, PTAGlobal, Pro PT and PTontheNet within the UK and its territories.Managing the trainers and assessors to ensure a high standard of programme delivery isreceived at instructor, club and consumer level in relation to all training, certification, ongoingeducation and events carried out by the national personal trainer teams.Overseeing the delivery of programmes by the national personal trainers to all clubs andinstructors; ensuring that initial training, ongoing education, assessments and support iscompleted to the highest standard, with utmost customer care and in line with programmeguidelines.Responsible toThe trainer operations manager: PT division is directly responsible to the commercialoperations manager.Responsible forThe trainer operations manager: PT division is directly responsible for the national personaltrainer, assessor and tutor teams for programmes such as 10 Minute Gym, PTA Global, ProPT, PTontheNet and ViPR.Duties/areas of responsibilityViPRResponsible for co-ordinating all training and education for ViPR both nationally andinternationallyManage the training process of all global ViPR training teamsCreate and manage national training teams globallyEnsure all distributors receive and understand live and online educationFor those countries without established distributors, train up and develop a mastertrainer team that are able to deliver to an excellent standardLiaise with the Product Development and Marketing teams to ensure all relevant


media is continuously up to dateAssist Michol Dalcourt with the development of ViPR, adding own ideas towards asuccessful and efficient roll outCreate monthly, high quality online education, communicating with relevantdepartments (internally and externally)Manage ViPR attendance at events and liaise with relevant departments to organisea presence at key eventsManage the development of the product along with the Product Development team,co-ordinating into new markets, i.e., Group ViPR, etc.Co-ordinate, design and chair trainer day meetings (TDMs) on a quarterly basisHuman resourceManage the recruitment, selection and induction of national personal trainers toensure an effective team is in place at all times and all programmes haveadequate coverCo-ordinate the ongoing development of new and existing trainers, keepingaccurate records on feedback, development, status and daily rateManage the performance of the national personal trainer teams, ensuring that keyperformance indicators are set, monitored and evaluated on a regular basis, plusensure effective and regular performance management is undertaken (trainersnot up to standard should be notified immediately in writing)Work within company policies, protocol and procedures, keeping accurate andconfidential records on each trainer and assessor, and upholding the company’s‘open door’ policyAct as the key point of contact for all national personal trainers, tutors andassessorsMaintain accurate records of trainer availability inclusive of holidays, sickness,TDM attendance, feedback and QC assessmentsBe a role model for other managers and staffEnsure standard of training delivery remains high, and work with the curriculummanager to ensure all quality assurance procedures are in placeManage a team of tutors offering online technical supportEvaluate all course feedback and instigate necessary content changes with thecurriculum manager as appropriateAccountsCheck monthly invoicing pertaining to the national personal trainer, tutor andassessor teams are accurate, and liaise with the training co-ordinator tocommunicate key discrepancies to the trainer and assessor teamsFollow up all monthly expenses with a breakdown of cost vs training revenue percategory, i.e., training, events, assessments and supportEnsure all international presentations are invoiced as necessaryReview and monitor all levels of expense and reduce where possibleCreate a budget for all trainer, tutor and assessor expenses and manage actualfigures according to the budget setOperationsCo-ordinate any updates to programmes liaising with the commercialoperations manager to ensure that all development work, updates andchanges to programmes are implemented within reasonable time frames and


with necessary training for accurate delivery inclusive of co-ordination withother relevant departmentsDevelop and implement systems to ensure efficient and effective operationsin all areas of trainingReport on an ongoing basis to the commercial operations manager in theform of a departmental reportBe a quality ambassador for FitPro at events, being a role model ofprofessionalism and ensuring company standards and reputation are upheldEnsure staff, trainers and assessors are always kept fully abreast ofdevelopments, changes and new products and services offered by FitProManage the process for all Pro PT clients ensuring all aspects are set up,recorded and client expectations are metRegularly run career advice days and ensure the courses are well attended(at least 70% capacity)Facilitate training courses, as appropriate, for certain programmes duringtimes of cover and as requiredAssist the commercial development manager and the Business Developmentteam to ensure sales targets are met in connection with PT-related productsWork with the Training and Business Development teams to ensure trainingtargets are met on a monthly basisTo develop, promote and maintain excellent service levels for all FitPro PTbasedproductsEnsure pass rates for applicable programmes remain within the designatedtargets set and make necessary amendments as appropriateProvide support and assistance to national and/or international distributors asappropriateWork with the Club Solutions team to ensure all clubs/groups receive anappropriate level of customer service supportDevelopmentProduce strategic plans for the national trainer teams to ensure the ongoingdevelopment and growth of the programmesEnsure that strategic plans are regularly reviewed and action plans are met andintegrated into the team and department within agreed timescalesCo-ordinate and execute development and quality control of training delivery of allprogrammes inclusive of written feedback and a continuing development plan foreach individualOrganise and, where possible, execute programme intensive development to upskill existing members of the teamNew initiativesWhen required, manage the development and delivery of key new productinitiativesTechnical expertReply to all incoming enquiries relating to technical issues surrounding each ofthe PT programmesOffer input and write articles for all FitPro publications and websites, whereappropriate, offering advice, guidance and updates on how to improve as apersonal trainer


Assist the Events team with the content for FitPro Convention as appropriateClub contactContribute towards FitPro's overall retention strategy for both clubs andinstructors, offering specific club and instructor initiatives and supportWhen required, meet with clubs and key contacts to provide expertise, adviceand supportAssist Business Development and Club Solutions departments to activelypromote PT programmes in the UK and its territoriesGeneralAdhere to company protocol as laid out in the Company HandbookAttend conventions and events as requiredWork extra hours to meet deadlines, as required and where reasonableStatementThis job description is issued as a guideline to assist you in your duties.
