Programme StructureThe three phases of the International ActionLearning MBA ® :Phase 1: here we lay the theoretical foundationupon which your future study will be based; thiscreates a common conceptual framework for thewhole set whilst you follow the IALMBA ® . You willwrite an Organisational Analysis of your companyand design a Personal Development Plan. Thisis based upon your current leadership skillsand competencies, and you will be encouragedthroughout the programme to consider areas fordevelopment.Phase 2: kicks off with a 9-day inspirationalresidential conference at one of our internationalcampuses in the Netherlands or South Africa; thisis the perfect setting to inspire and be inspired,share experiences and soak in the wealth ofknowledge that is available during these vitaldays. You will meet for the first time, your fellowclassmates from different countries and possiblyhave the opportunity to network with studentsfrom other IALMBA sets.There are two 9-day residential conferencesduring phase 2, each approximately six monthsapart, and subdivide the phase into two distinctBlocks covering the following core modules.Block 1◆ Strategic Management (SM)◆ Marketing Management (MM)◆ Operational Management (OM)Block 2◆ Human Resources Management (HRM)◆ Financial Management (FM)◆ Information Management & Internet Strategy(IMIS)Following each international conference, studentswork in small teams / sets, on the Action LearningProjects (ALPs) that they identified during theconference, aiding and challenging each other as aproject team. Written reports on the 6 ALPs serveas your assessment for phase 2. Each projectreport should demonstrate that you have followed,understood and applied the body of knowledge.Students have access 24:7 to the virtual classenvironment, where continued networking,discussion, and exchanging of experiences isencouraged, supported and coached by one ofour renowned specialised facilitators. Wherestudent numbers permit (minimum 4 students),geographical sets will be established for additionalface to face interactionPhase 3: rounds up the successful conclusionof your MBA by completing the Dissertation andResearch Methodology. Who should apply to follow the IALMBA ®Our MBA students hold a Bachelor / First Degree,and currently hold a managerial role; managementtrainees are considered candidates for thisprogramme. We will consider applications fromthose without First Degree education wheresufficient professional experience is shown.Professional management qualifications are highlyregarded in the application procedure.For non-native English speakers a TOEFL or IELTSlanguage test is required. The minimum passmark for TOEFL is 79 and IELTS 6.0.
