The RRA Board of Governors Officers andCommittee Chairs are listed below.RRA Executive BoardRecreation Committee DutiesThis committee funds recreationalactivities for the member of the RRA,including special interest clubs; andsubsidizes cost centers for recreationalequipment. This committee establishesa budget every year to accommodatethe funding of activities. Additionally,the chair approves check requests forthe funds and submits the receipts andcheck requests to the RRA ExecutiveSecretary to process the check.Events the committee sponsors:• Car Show• Fishing Tournaments• Bowling Club League Bowling• All RRA clubsSocial Committee ProcedureThis committee selects and providesa continuous calendar of social eventEvents the committee sponsors:• Holiday Dance – usually held on aFriday or Saturday at least a weekbefore Christmas. This event issponsored by the RRA but a portionis subsidized by SwRI . The SocialChairperson takes an active rolein the selection of a venue, thedinner offering and the band forthe evening’s dancing.• Western Dance – the event is heldin late February or early to midMarch. The Social Chairpersonis responsible for heading up thesearch and selection process forthe venue food and entertainment.Events that the committee assists with:• Children’s Christmas Party – usuallyheld on a Saturday or Sunday inthe fi rst two weeks of December.The Social Chairperson assists inrecruiting volunteers to help workthe event such as Santa Claus, hishelpers and various characters.• Cowboy Breakfast – usually heldaround the middle of February.This event is held at the SwRIcafeteria parking lot and the SocialChairperson assists in recruitingvolunteers.• SwRI Children’s Fun with the EasterBunny – usually held on a Saturdayone week prior to Easter.
