Personal nucleic acid isolation device, one forQuickGene-Mini80 is a compact system requiring no centrifugation in the extraction process, giving less strain to samples and enablingrapid nucleic acid extraction. DNA/RNA can be easily extracted from various samples including human/mouse/plants/cells/fungi andothers. The QuickGene-Mini80 shares a common extraction mechanism and kits with our semi-automated nucleic acid isolationsystem, QuickGene-810. QuickGene-Mini80 offers high performance comparable to QuickGene-810 at a reasonable price.Compact DesignThe small, lightweight QuickGene-Mini80 takes up minimalspace on the lab bench and is easy to carry.QuickGene-Mini80 can be operated on the lab bench so, withoutmoving around, the user can perform nucleic acid extraction.Revolutionary Porous MembraneThe QuickGene-Mini80 uses FUJIFILM'spatented porous membrane only 80µm thick.Porous membraneGlass fiber membraneBecause of the outstanding absorptive anddesorptive performances of the membrane,high-purity nucleic acid can be easily obtainedin high yield at low pressure. The ultra thin membrane enables nucleic acidextraction in shorter time than when comparedto glass fiber membranes.Cartridge50µm50µmHigh Purity, High YieldHighly reproducible QuickGene-Mini80 can stably extract nucleic acid in high yield. The extracted DNA/RNA contains few impurities and can be used directly in PCR and RT-PCR.Length of extracted DNAExtraction of plasmid DNAExtraction of DNA fromtissueExtraction of RNA fromtissueQuickGene DNA tissue kit S QuickGene Plasmid kit S QuickGene DNA tissue kit SQuickGene RNA tissue kit SM1M2 M3TailLiverMpBS /GAPDH/DH5 (1×10 9 )MTailMLiverLiver Spleen HeartDNase DNase DNaseM + - + - + -190-260145kb121kb97kb73kb48kb24kb23.1kb9.4kb6.6kb4.4kbM :1kb PLUS DNA Ladder M :1kbp PLUS DNA Ladder M :1kbp PLUS DNA LadderYield and purity of plasmid DNAYield and purity of genomic DNAYield and purity of total RNA2.0kbM1: Hind digestM2:MidRange PFG MarkerM3:Mouse Genomic DNA(BD)∗Balb/c mouse (female, 7week old)Average*DNA yield(µg) 23.0Purity(260/280) 1.97Purity(260/230) 2.28*Average of 4 samplesDNA yield(µg)Purity(260/280)Purity(260/230)Tail4.01.9162.117Liver3.61.9251.942∗Balb/c mouse (female, 7week old)∗Without RNase treatmentDNase Livertreatment 32mg+ 155.4total RNA yield(µg)- 159.3+ 2.1Purity(280/260)- 2.1+ 2.3Purity(280/230)- 2.2∗Balb/c mouse (female, 7week old)Spleen32mg71.8Heart32mg21.274.3 21.62.12.12.22.22.1 2.02.1 1.8
