TTS Robotics
TTS Robotics is a family of products offering state-of-the-art technology for processing steel sections and
profiles for shipyards, steel construction and the offshore industries.
TTS Profile and Beam Cutting Line
For processing of profiles and beams, TTS offers fully automated production facilities with integrated systems
for handling and robotic cutting. A TTS Profile and Beam Cutting Line delivers consistent high quality cuts on
all kinds of profiles and beams; such as flatbars, bulb profiles, angles, T-beams, H-/I-beams and U-channels.
TTS Interactive Macro AssignmentTM is a PC-based software package used for off-line programming of profile
parts. Through this user-friendly software, the required data is interactively fed into the system using production
drawings or cutting lists. Customised CAD interfaces can be supplied.
The TTS Profile and Beam Cutting Line is a module-based system. The modules can be integrated to form a
complete system, suitable for larger shipyards and the heavy steel industry, as well as smaller steel production
facilities.
Minimal installation and start-up-time is achieved through full scale testing of each cutting system
before shipment to the customer.
Extensive after-sales service is provided to make sure that each customer will be able to
utilise the maximum potential of the TTS robot production system.

TTS Software
The TTS CIM Software Environment (Computer Integrated Manufacturing)
consists of a wide range of PC-based software products tailor-made
for robot production for the shipbuilding industry and heavy steel
production. The CIM software environment is built up of independent
software products for off-line programming, robot production,
information logistics, production reports and logging.
These products can be combined to form a complete CIM
environment adapted to the specific needs of each customer.
CIMA TM – Interactive off-line
programming of profile cuts
CNWP – Automatic nesting of
profile parts on raw bars
The TTS Nesting and Work Preparation software for
Cutting – CNWP consists of an optimised nesting
algorithm, which will nest the profiles with a minimum
of scrap. This is done through a powerful graphical
operator interface with extensive file handling functions.
Input to the system is user selected profile part list
files generated by the CIMA TM Software. Output from
the CNWP program is nested robot programs in the
TTS profile cutting format. These will be sent to the
Cell Controller for Profile Cutting, which controls
the robot and the handling system.
TTS Cutting Software Features
• Interactive selection of profile types,
cut types and macro parameters
• Powerful parameter guessing functions
• On-line graphical help facilities
• Multiple profile generation, copy profile
and mirror image copy functions
The TTS Interactive Macro Assignment TM – software for profile Cutting – CIMA TM generates
off-line robot profile cutting programs based on paper drawings of the profile parts or
cutting lists. The operator interactively maps the different cut types such as end cuts,
holes and cut-outs on the paper with the corresponding macro name in a macro
menu. The profile with all its cuts is then displayed on the screen with
the current cut highlighted.
Typical software layout for a TTS Profile and Beam Cutting Line
• CAD Interface
• Fully automatic nesting
of profiles and beams for
optimal use of raw material
• Graphical display of nested
profiles with statistical data
• Powerful report generation
in both text and Microsoft
Excel formats
• Easy to use man-machine
interface running in Microsoft
Windows/Windows NT
