AcademicsMATHSFifteen boys from <strong>Ipswich</strong> <strong>Grammar</strong><strong>School</strong> attended the annualMathematics Teams Challenge atIndooroopilly High <strong>School</strong> on Friday24 May. The three teams thatrepresented the school were:• Year 8: Brendan Richardson,William Eberhardt, Ross Whyte,Murray Thistlethwaite, Aaron Herbst.• Junior: Cooper Nunn, NicholasVerrenkamp, Nicholas Piper, OliverPye, Ben Carter.• Senior: Tom Michel, AndrewWhittering, Lucas Sippel, VincentWen, Michael Stower.During the course of the day the<strong>Ipswich</strong> <strong>Grammar</strong> <strong>School</strong> Boysworked individually and as a teamto solve difficult mathematicalquestions. Scores were tallied andwinning teams announced. OurJunior team performed exceptionallywell to finish second, only four pointsbehind the winners. Congratulationsto all the boys for their efforts andbehaviour on the day.Here is a question from the Year 8paper: ‘Find the last two digits of thenumber 112013’.
