WOLVERHAMPTON PARTNERSHIP<strong>The</strong> <strong>Wolverhampton</strong> <strong>Partnership</strong>, the city’s Local Strategic <strong>Partnership</strong>, brings together at a city-wide level, partners from across the public sector, businessesand third sector. It is made up of an Executive Board, Stakeholder Forum, three delivery clusters and a number of sub-groups. Each element of the <strong>Partnership</strong>has its own terms of reference.<strong>The</strong> purpose of the <strong>Partnership</strong> is to:harness the energy, expertise, assets and resources of both partners and stakeholders towards achieving our shared vision and goals: to improve theprosperity and quality of life of <strong>Wolverhampton</strong> people and re-invigorate our citypromote collaborative working and joint activity to deliver City Strategy priorities and objectiveswork together to raise the city’s profile and image, promoting the city at sub-regional, regional, national and international levelsdemonstrate accountability to partner organisations, stakeholders and residents, and encourage stakeholder and resident engagement in the work of the<strong>Partnership</strong>promote equality of opportunity, social inclusion and sustainable development.


Principles for <strong>Partnership</strong> Working1. We will empower and support by:‣ encouraging and welcoming <strong>new</strong> players, who bring other insights, energy and contributions and by enhancing existing partners’ contributions‣ providing opportunities for participation and learning throughout all that we do.‣ Challenging each other and being mutually supportive.2. We will make best use of our resources and add value by:‣ making use of all our assets – economic, intellectual, environmental, social, cultural, democratic and financial‣ bringing together the right people, at the right time, to develop the best solutions that address difficult problems‣ focusing our effort on joint activities that have the greatest impact.3. We will work effectively:‣ through efficient partnership governance <strong>structure</strong>s that support delivery and enable us to hold each other to account‣ by clearly and consistently communicating our successes, challenges and our aspirations - as widely as possible.
