Photos by John O’HaraConstruction Is Underway –Watch Our ProgressThe Summer 2012 phase of the Brown Deer SchoolDistrict's transformation and renovation began in mid-June.Groundbreaking ceremonies took place on June 13 and wereattended by staff, students, dignitaries, the construction teamand Village residents. A substantial amount of work has beenundertaken since that time with many tradespeople workingon this important project. Major projects undertaken thissummer include reconstruction of the outdoor track, parkinglot improvements, abatement work in the High School andMiddle School, and the start of the fieldhouse addition at theHigh School. Construction manager C.G. Schmidt is makingevery effort to minimize the disruptions to the surroundingneighborhoods and to ensure that the project goes smoothly.We will continue to keep the community informed aboutthe project as work progresses.
