[That’s]E[M]CONOMY:Different jobs at the same time.EMCOTURN 332Modular turning centersfor economic complete machining

EMCOTURN 332[Parts catcher]- Universally applicable- No changeover necessary- Free access to work area and spindles[Main spindle]- High drive power- Compact, thermostableconstruction- Wide speed range- Spindle nose A2-5- Bar diameter 45 mm[Work area]- Free chip fall- Best ergonomics- 100 % covering of guide ways- Optimum illumination[Counter spindle]- C axis- Spindle brake- Spindle nose A2-4Machine fitted with optional equipmentThe EMCOTURN 332. High-tech and compact. Double spindle and twin tool systems with driven tools are standard features. Thestate-of-the-art control technology with digital drives comes with it. And to make things even quicker and even easier, we have a fullrange of automation options for the EMCOTURN 332.

[Tool turret]- VDI quick change system- 2 x 12 (24) driven tool stations- No alignment of the tool holders- Can be used for both spindles- Wide speed range[Workpieces][Control]- State-of-the-art digitalcontrol technology- LCD color screen- Siemens 840D- RS232 interfaceConnector shaft(Brass)Camshaft(Brass)[Machine cover]- All-round protection against flying chips- 100 % coolant containment- Large toughened-glass window in door- Optimal view of the work area- Control buttons set in casing for easyoperationStop tube(Stainless steel)Positioning sleeve(Steel)

[Engineering]Highlights■ Compact machine design■ Very small foot print■ Up to 24 driven tools (5 kW)■ Synchronized thread-cutting and polygonalturning as standard■ Outstanding repeat accuracy■ Quick changeover times■ Enormous versatility■ Many automation possibilities■ Made in the Heart of EuropeTool change with directional logic in just 0.2 seconds. Total control of theswivel speed with the feed switch.Hinged keyboard. Ergonomics all the way a major benefit, especially whenmost programming is done at the machine.Parts transfer from main spindle to counter spindle in only 4 seconds.Counter spindle and parts catcher. The counter spindle includes a strokecontrolled parts pusher that is flushed with coolant device. The parts arepushed automatically into the parts catcher. The parts are transported out ofthe machine and placed in a bin or on accumulating conveyer.PerformancePerformance and torque diagram EMCOTURN 332 main and counter spindleP=13 kWM=53 Nm

[Winner of series]The EMCOTURN 332 is end-to-end modular, so it adapts perfectly to the requirements of industrial large-series production.Customers order the ideal platform for their operations: either the universal 3-axes machine with one tool turret or the highly productive4-axes configuration. With its twin tool turrets each with 12 VDI 25 quick-change tool holders, the 4-axes machine achievesastonishingly short cycle times even when producing highly complex parts. The EMCOTURN 332 without panels. Individualautomation withthe EMCOswing loaderTailor-made solutions. For preformed blanks and parts with adiameter larger than the spindle capacity, we offer an integratedswing loader for fully automatic loading and part removal. Thishas been designed to form a harmonious single entity with themachine. The machine control system takes care of positioning.A short bar loader and a 3-meter bar loader are available fromEMCO for workpieces from bar stock.Blank feeding systemsFeed systems specific to particular blanks allow preformed workpieces to be loaded in the working spindle correctly oriented, which enables economical unmanned operation.Large storage capacity chain feeding system for loadingpreformed blanks with the correct orientation.Multiple infeed chutes for loading rotationally-symmetricalblanks. The length of the blanks determinesthe number of infeed chutes.Chain feeding system with V-supports for preformedshaft parts of various shapes.Customization:A wide range of gripper and handling systems are available.2-finger gripper with 180° rotary modulefor loading blanks fed in vertically2-finger toggle lever gripper for loadingshaft partsParallel grippers with 180° rotary modulefor loading shaft parts(1st and 2nd chucking)

[EMCO TOP LOAD 8-45]Short and to the pointIn view of the ever-increasing pressure on floorspace for machines, EMCO has developed themost compact short loader on the market: the EMCO LM800.Finished part conveyorThe finished-part pick-up device puts the parts on an accumulating conveyor. A discontinuousbelt ensures that the often very complex parts do not fall onto each other.Unloading through the counter spindleLong, slender workpieces can be removed from the machine through the counter spindle.Long parts can be stowed in different ways. The finished parts can either simply roll down aninclined surface, or be stored in a lateral magazine using a discontinuous belt.EMCO tool break monitoringThe tool status is monitored by evaluating the load on the various axis drive motors. Excessiveloads point to wear or broken tools. Too low a load indicates a tool is missing.Band filter with high-pressure coolant pumpsA coolant pressure of 25/40/60 or 80 bar can be set as needed. This enables coolant-fed drillingand milling tools to be used to their best advantage.
