November 3-5, <strong>2009</strong> in Las VegasAAPEX Draws Nearly 900 U.S. AutoAftermarket ManufacturersThe Automotive Aftermarket ProductsExpo (AAPEX) is the place toconnect with nearly 900 U.S. manufacturersthat exhibit at the annualevent in Las Vegas, Nevada, <strong>USA</strong>.In <strong>2009</strong>, AAPEX will take place Tuesday,Nov. 3 – Thursday, Nov. 5, atthe Sands Expo Center.As the world’s largest businessto-businessevent for the automotiveaftermarket industry, AAPEX drawsmany big name U.S. automotiveaftermarket manufacturers, includingDayco, Delphi, Federal Mogul, StandardMotor Products and UnitedComponents. All total, approximately2,000 companies exhibit at AAPEXand display their products andservices in nearly 5,000 booths.Approximately 45 percent of theU.S. manufacturers at AAPEX export,and this number is expected to growwith the assistance of the U.S. <strong>Commercial</strong>Service International BuyerProgram (IBP).Every brand of replacement partis on display at AAPEX, includingsuspension and front-end products,engines, engine parts and fabricators,paint and body products, and heattransfer and mobile air conditioningproducts and parts.Blanche Ziv, manager of the <strong>Commercial</strong>Service International BuyerProgram, said, “We’re trying to reachout to exhibitors who have notexported before, especially thesmall- to medium-sized companies.We work with manufacturers to helpidentify the right target markets fortheir companies, help them to benefitfrom trade agreements, and eliminateroadblocks.”The IBP also leads delegationsto AAPEX. In 2008, 49 official delegationsattended the event, representinga growth of 60 percent over theprevious year.
