Thread Log (Windows NT)The thread log traces the history of when threads start and how many times athread has failed and been restarted by Thread Manager.By default, the log file is named arthread.log and is located in\ARServer\db. You cannot change the path or file name forthis file.Each transaction begins with the prefix, followed by a time stamp.Following the time stamp is detailed information about the started thread.Following is a sample thread log file:/* Tue May 21 12:09:39 1996 */Thread Trace Log -- ON/* Tue May 21 12:09:39 1996 */rpcSocketNumber 390600whenStarted Tue May 21 12:09:39 1996whenStarted1 (null)whenStarted2 (null)whenStarted3 (null)status 1portassignedStartThread - SucceededIn the example, RPC socket number 390600 was first started at 12:09:39 onMay 21.Unlike the other log files that you administer with Remedy Administrator, youmanually start and stop this log.➤Starting the Thread Log1. Stop the AR System server.2. Open the ar.cfg file.3. Add the following line:Thread-Debug-mode: 324. Save the ar.cfg file.5. Start the AR System server.6. Distributed Mapping Log➤Stopping the Thread Log1. Stop the AR System server.2. Open the ar.cfg file.3. Remove the Thread-Debug-mode: 32 line.4. Save the ar.cfg file.Distributed Mapping LogThe distributed mapping log tracks the steps and events of distributedoperations processed by the arservdsd daemon. Logged information includesthe operation transfer to the other system, mapping definitions, and status.The Distributed Server Option is available separately from the AR System.By default, the log file is named ardist.log and is located in\ARServer\db. You can change the path or file name in theServer Information window.Each line of a distributed mapping log file begins with a prefix andincludes the time of each transaction. Following the time stamp is adescription of the processed operation.
