CITY OF SHEBOYGAN FALLS Chapter 13____________________________________________________________________________a. Wastewater having a temperature higher than 150° F (65° Celsius).b. Wastewater containing more than 25 mg/1 of petroleum oil,nonbiodegradable cutting oils or products of mineral oil origin.c. Wastewater from industrial plants containing floatable oils, fat or grease.d. Any garbage that has not been properly shredded. Garbage grinders may beconnected to sanitary sewers from homes, hotels, institutions, restaurants,hospitals, catering establishments or similar places where garbage originatesfrom the preparation of food in kitchens for the purpose of consumption onthe premises or when served by caterers.e. Any waters or wastes containing iron, chromium, copper, zinc and other toxicand nonconventional pollutants to such degree that any such materialreceived in the composite wastewater in concentrations that exceed levelsspecified by federal, state or local authorities.f. Any waters or wastes containing odor-producing substances exceeding limitswhich may be established by the Municipal Approving Authority.g. Any radioactive wastes or isotopes of such half-life or concentration as mayexceed limits established by the Municipal Approving Authority in compliancewith applicable state or federal regulations.h. Quantities of flow, concentrations or both which constitute a "slug" as definedherein.i. Any waters or wastes containing substances which are not amenable totreatment or reduction by the wastewater treatment processes employed orare amenable to treatment only to such degree that the wastewater treatmentfacility effluent cannot meet the requirements of other agencies havingjurisdiction over discharge to the receiving waters.j. Any water or wastes, which, by interaction with other water or wastes in thesanitary sewer system, release obnoxious gases, form suspended solids,whichinterfere with the collection system, or create a condition deleterious tostructures and treatment processes.i. Unusual BOD, chemical oxygen demand or chlorine requirements insuch quantities as to constitute a significant load on the wastewatertreatment facility.ii.iii.iv.Unusual volume of flow or concentration of wastes constituting "slugs" asdefined herein.Unusual concentrations of inert suspended solids (such as, but notlimited to, fuller's earth, lime slurries and lime residues) or of dissolvedsolids (such as but not limited to sodium sulfate).Excessive discoloration (such as but not limited to dye wastes andvegetable tanning solutions).13-11
