An account code is a numeric code entered by asubscriber prior to make an outgoing call. The activates the service bydialing the code just prior to dialing the terminating directory number, TheAccount Codes service may also be invoked during an active call. The ASAccount Codes feature is supported in the AS and AS IMS solutions.The roles of the AS components are as follows:• The AS Session Manager is responsible for call processing operations.• The AS System Manager is responsible for the license key of theservice.• The AS Provisioning Manager is responsible for the provisioning of theservice. System Administration 133• The AS Accounting Manager keeps the IPDR records.• The AS Personal Agent monitors Account Codes settings (ExclusionList, List of Verified numbers) by individual subscribers.The AS Session Manager, System Manager, Accounting Manager,Provisioning Manager, and Personal Agent have the same responsibilitiesin the IMS system as they have in the Standalone system.The Account Codes service has two provisioning options: Forced modeand Verified mode. Forced mode requires the subscriber to dial an accountcode for every outbound call. If the subscriber does not dial an accountcode for an outbound call the call will be rejected by the AS. In Verifiedmode, the account code specified by the subscriber is predefined withinthe AS system If the subscriber uses a code that has not been predefinedthe call will be rejected by the AS.The Account Codes service has four possible configurations:• Forced\Verified: The caller is required to dial a predefined accountcode for every outbound call. The code is verified before the call isestablished. If validation is successful, the account code entry isincluded in the IPDR record and the call continues. Otherwise, the callis rejected and an error is populated in the IPDR record.• Forced\Non-Verified: The caller is required to dial an account code forevery outbound call. The code is not verified before the call isestablished. The account code entry is included in the IPDR record.• Non-Forced\Non-Verified: The caller is not required to enter an accountcode for every outbound call and the code is not verified before the callis established. If the subscriber dials an account code, an accountcodes entry is included in the IPDR record.• Non-Forced\Verified: The caller is not required to enter an accountcode for every outbound call, and the code is verified before call isestablished. If validation is successful, an account code entry isincluded in the IPDR record and the call continues. Otherwise, the callis rejected and an error code is populated in the IPDR record.Activating Account Codes ServiceThe Account Codes service is activated during call initiation by dialing:Account Codes VSC + Account Code + # ( * ) character + Terminating DN/Username.The username may contain alphanumeric characters. Multiple VSCs canbe dialed as long as the correct format is followed and a delimiter is usedbetween VSCs.
