160 Components and

160 Components and configurationsGeographic SurvivabilityThe EXPERiUS AS Geographic Survivability feature provides aconfiguration that is split into two geographic locations, enabling the AS tomaintain call processing capability and full operation in a non-redundantmode in the event of a disaster; this is achieved by performing a warmswitch of activity between the two geographically dispersed ASs. .Each AS element is redundant, either load sharing or in an active/standbyfashion, and one unit of each component is located at each site. The L2Transport Network is used to keep two AS “halves” in sync (for example, call processing data is synchronized in real time across both halves)High level Geographic Survivability network designHardwareEXPERiUS is available as a software-only bundle (hardware freedom),offering the flexibility to select your own hardware platform and configureEXPERiUS based on specific deployment needs, or the hardware can bepurchased from GENBAND. EXPERiUS AS components must be deployedeither entirely on GENBAND reference platform or entirely on hardwarefreedom platform.
