Unlike Call Transfer and Call Park/Call Retrieve, whichrequire remembering dialed numbers and codes, Call Grabber is designedto simplify the subscriber experience for moving the calls between devices.To grab a call the subscriber has only to enter a pre-established verticalstar code or access code, if grabbing from the PSTN or a Mobile Network.Only single active calls can be grabbed. If a subscriber is involved inmultiple calls, for example, when a single client has multiple calls or whena subscriber makes multiple calls from different clients, any of the calls canbe grabbed. Call grabs can occur from Mobile Extension Mobile devices,CD2 phones, or SIP registered clients.The Call Grabber service can be assigned to a domain and can be used inservice packages. The Call Grabber service requires a License Key. Thefeature Translation Table under Telephony Routes in the ProvisioningClient GUI is used to define the Call Grabbing DN, Call Grabbing Alias(optional), and the star code.HotlineThis section describes the Hotline feature.Feature descriptionThis feature lets administrators designate an IP Phone as a hotline thatcalls a specific address when taken off-hook. Hotline is associated with auser ID rather than a particular device. A system administrator enables thehotline service parameter for a user ID. Any IP Phone that this user ID logson to becomes a hotline device.For example, an airline may wish to have an IP Phone that can be pluggedin at any gate to provide customer service for debarking passengers. Bysimply lifting the receiver a passenger could speak to a customer servicerepresentative for information about their next flight.Feature operationNo special procedures are required to use the Hotline feature. Userssimply pick up the receiver and the IP Phone automatically dials thedestination address. If there is more than one user logged on to thetelephone, then a hotline user will go off-hook and press a line button todial the destination. Services 45Hunting and hunt groupsFeature descriptionHunting is a feature that allows businesses to improve call completionrates in an office where multiple individuals may answer incoming calls orvideo session initiations. To enable the Hunting feature, the customerservice agents of a business are clustered in groups called hunt groups. Ahunt group is organized in such a manner that when an incoming call orvideo session is presented to a hunt group member who is unavailable,hunting is automatically performed within the group for another memberwho is available. Group members are considered available if they are notcurrently engaged in a call or session with any of their SIP clients. Groupmembers are considered unavailable if any of their registered devices arebusy, set to Do Not Disturb state, or have an Unavailable – Busy presencestate.Two types of hunting may be performed:• Circular hunting—searches for an available hunt group member bystarting with a particular group member and hunting for the nextavailable group member. If no available member is found aftersearching the entire hunt group, hunting within the group stops. If allgroup members are unavailable, calls or sessions can be redirected toa specified destination, treatment, or announcement.• Sequential hunting—searches for an available hunt group member bystarting with a particular group member and hunting through aprescribed sequence of group members for the next available groupmember. If no available member is found in the hunting sequence,hunting stops. If all group members are unavailable, calls or sessionscan be redirected to a specified destination, treatment, orannouncement.The system performs Hunting for any valid incoming call or video session.If an available group member is unable to negotiate the SDP, the groupmember is considered not available and the session continues to hunt tothe next available member.The Hunt feature is available in the configured domain or sub-domain of anAS system. Hunting functionality resides on a single SESM per domaincalled the anchor SESM.
