Tutorial 7: The Final

Tutorial 7: The Final RenderCompletion time 35 minutesThe preceding tutorials demonstrated the methods by which a view is designed. Duringthis iterative design phase many different screen resolution (or lower res) renderings mayhave been produced: these "test" renderings provide visual feedback during the designprocess. After the design work is completed and you are satisfied with the results as theyappear in the Project Designer viewport, it is time to generate a final rendering of yourview. When we refer to a final rendering, we are talking about an image that is rendered directlyto a file on disk, instead of being rendered into the viewport. At the time you generate afinal rendering, you set the aspect ratio, resolution and color depth at which the image willbe created.Final renderings are often generated at a resolution significantly greater than the 640x480viewport resolution. These images can be saved in one of a variety of image file formats.Depending on the format you save to, this image can be 256 (8-bit) colors, 32,000 (16-bit)colors, or 16.7 million (24-bit) colors. You can even save an image with an alpha channelby saving into a 32-bit file format. After rendering an image to disk file, you can load thatimage back into Renderize Live and view it in the Image Designer. In this tutorial you will learn:The function of the rendering options on the Render Toolbox; How to set the desired aspect ratio of the rendered image; How to set the desired resolution of the rendered image; How to assign a filename and a file type for a rendered image; How to load an image into the Image Designer for viewing; How to print an image to screen.First we'll clear the Project Designer and load a new project.Restart Renderize Live.Select "Open Project" from FileRead project "tutor7.eye" from the TUTOR directory.Load the view resource "default_1" into the viewport. "default_1" is a completedview. At this point all that is left to do is create the final rendering and call it a day.Select thebe in order. Now let's create a final rendering.button from the Render Toolbox to render the view.
