To develop and maintain

To develop and maintain on an annual basis, a three-year rolling strategic planand budget.To ensure results-based information management systems are in place andused by the organisation and implementing partners and to manage theorganisation’s efforts and resources systematically for expected results/impacts,learning and accountability.To monitor and report to the UK office on all SAC Zambia performance andfinancial matters.To promote approaches to fundraising which ensure all staff take opportunitiesfor networking, monitoring, evaluation and reporting which increase theprogramme’s fundraising prospects.To ensure that SAC Zambia and its partners develop a learning culture,document best practices and draw lessons, integrating them into organisationaland programme management.To ensure farmers’ and partners’ needs are accurately assessed and met whereappropriate.In the medium to longer-term, to explore opportunities for regional expansionbeyond Zambia, on a scale and scope to be determined.To carry out any other tasks assigned by the UK office.Team LeadershipTo recruit, build and lead a staff team commensurate with the programme’sneeds and Send a Cow’s values, ensuring decisions are followed throughincluding the development of a senior management team when appropriate.To manage consultants who provide expertise on functions not covered by thestaff.To delegate appropriately to staff, putting in place agreed goals and measuresfor how achievement of these will be implemented, measured and monitored.To mentor, support and equip staff to help them achieve their goals.COUNTRY DIRECTOR, ZAMBIA

FinancesTo ensure effective financial and resource management including preparation ofannual budget and accounts.To ensure that the financial policies and procedures are in line with relevantstatutory provisions, with generally accepted accounting standards and withSAC’s established financial procedures.To ensure SAC Zambia has an appropriate strategy for generating and raisingfunds to finance its approved strategic plans.To ensure funds are managed to achieve value for money and in a transparentmanner which can be explained to donors and supporters.Human resourcesTo ensure that the organisation formulates and implements appropriate humanresource policies and procedures in conjunction with the UK office.To ensure the human resource policies and procedures are in line with relevantstatutory provisions.To ensure that all staff are motivated, empowered and equipped to do theirwork.Representing and networkingTo represent SAC to other organisations, government, partners and donorswithin Zambia and more widely in the regionTo network with other organisations for purposes of advantageous collaboration,best practices and information sharing.To support appropriate lobbying and advocacy activities.Spiritual leadershipTo provide Christian leadership, spiritual vision and direction within theorganisation.To set standards of Christian leadership and lead by example.To lead and participate in regular prayers.COUNTRY DIRECTOR, ZAMBIA
