Work starts on

Work starts on ourSustrans’ Connect2 routeConstruction has now started onLiverpool’s Connect2 project ‘EvertonPark and The Mersey’. Prince EdwinStreet will be traffic calmed anda Toucan crossing will provide asafer crossing point for pedestriansand cyclists across St Anne Street(connecting Prince Edwin Street andJuvenal Street). Also in the pipelineis a proposal to upgrade the existingcrossing on Scotland Road to aToucan crossing.Improvements to access employment, education and other services acrossnorth Liverpool have long beennecessary. Poor east-west links inthis part of the City are a particularissue.
