Stand Up,Fight Back!The

Stand Up,Fight Back! The Stand Up, Fight Back campaign is away for the IATSE to stand up to attacks onour members from anti-worker politicians. The mission of the Stand Up, Fight Backcampaign is to increase IATSE-PAC contributionsso that the IATSE can support thosepoliticians who fight for working people andstand behind the policies important to ourmembership, while fighting politicians andpolicies that do not benefit our members. The IATSE, along with every other unionand guild across the country, has come underrecent attacks. Everywhere from Madison,Wisconsin to Washington, DC, anti-workerpoliticians are trying to silence the voicesof American workers by taking away theircollective bargaining rights, stripping theirhealthcare coverage, and doing away withdefined pension plans.Support Candidates Who Stand With Us!For our collective voice to be heard,IATSE’s members must become more involvedin shaping the federal legislative andadministrative agenda. Our concerns and interestsmust be heard and considered by federallawmakers. But labor unions (like corporations)cannot contribute to the campaignsof candidates for federal office. Most prominentlabor organizations have establishedPAC’s which may make voluntary campaigncontributions to federal candidates and seekcontributions to the PAC from union members. To give you a voice in Washington, theIATSE has its own PAC, the IATSE Political ActionCommittee (“IATSE-PAC”), a federal politicalaction committee designed to supportcandidates for federal office who promotethe interests of working men and women.Last Chance to Enter the IATSE-PAC 2012 ContestDrawing to be held at the Nashville GEB Meeting in JanuaryJoin the IATSE-PAC’s 2012 campaign and automaticallybecome eligible to win one of three prizes! The 2012 Contest will offer threeprepaid Union Plus VISA cards (to beused wherever VISA is accepted):Grand Prize$1,500 cardSecond Prize$1,000 cardThird Prize$500 cardThe contest is effective immediately and will rununtil the drawing is held at the Mid-Winter meetingof the General Executive Board in January 2013when three winners will be announced.Only IATSE members, employees of the IATSEand IATSE local unions, and their families who contribute$10 or more per month to the IATSE-PAC areeligible to win and will automatically be enrolled inthis year’s contest.
