BIS officials had participated in talksand interviews on BIS related subjects which were telecastover Doordarshan and other popular cable networks.Significant developments and events were covered by theelectronics media and newspapers.Broadcast of 15 Minute weekly Radio Programme onvarious activities of BIS has started from 7 March 2004from 55 station of AIR in different languages. 20 secondradio spot on Hallmarking of Gold Jewellery and ISI Markhas been prepared and broadcast through CommercialBroadcasting Services/ FM stations of AIR in Hindi duringFebruary/March 2004.BIS participated in fairs and exhibitions like Panel Expo-2003 from 4-7 September 2003 at Delhi, World Mining Expo-2003 from 2-5 November 2003 at Delhi; India InternationalTrade Fair 2003 from 14-27 November, 2003 at Delhi;Sundarban Krishi Mela at 24 Parganas West Bengal from20-29 December 2003; National Expo organized by CentralKolkata Science & Cultural Organization for Youth from 12to 21 September 2003 at Kolkata; Agro Food Expo-2003 atBijapur, near Bangalore; 6th International Exhibition ofElectrical Industrial Electronics & Allied Products from 3-7February 2004 at Delhi and 1st International Exhibition andConference on Building Materials & ConstructionsTechnologies from 12-15 February 2004 at Delhi.
