The topic covered included:Awareness Programme on Occupational Health &Safety Management Systems as per IS 18001/OHSAS 18001Management System Activities for Staff posted inManagement System Certification Departments atRegional OfficesEnhancing Auditing Skills as per ISO 19011/ ISOGuide 62/63 for Management System CertificationOfficers at Regional OfficesTraining Programme on Accounts/Finance Mattersfor BIS StaffSensitisation Programme on Sexual HarassmentMeasurement UncertaintyInternational Training Programme in Standardizationand Quality Assurance for Developing CountriesNITS organized 36th International Training Programme onStandardization and Quality Assurance for the DevelopingCountries of Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America during13 October - 5 December 2003, 23 participants from 15countries participated in the programme. The programmeis being organized since 1968. So far 36 such programmeshave been organized. 776 nominees from 74 developingcountries have taken advantage of this programme.Participants of this programme stayed in NITS’s Hostel forthe first time and they highly appreciated the arrangementsmade for their comfortable stay.IncomeIncome generated fromthe above programmesfor the year is Rs 57.2lakhs. Therefore,Training Institute wasable to achieve thetargeted income of Rs.57 lakhs even in the firstyear after shifting to thenew building.Annual Report 2003-2004 26
