39Veggie Burgers2 cups cooked lentils1 cup Portobello mushrooms, minced1 cup bulgur wheat2 cloves roasted garlic, pureed1 cup whole wheat LID bread crumbs2 tbsp walnut oil1/4 tsp tarragon, mincednon-iodized salt and freshly groundpepper to tasteProcedure1 In a large mixing bowl, mash lentils until smooth. Add all other ingredients and mix until thoroughly combined. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.2 Form into burgers (add a little water if necessary).3 Brush the burgers with olive oil and grill for 6 minutes on each side or until done.4 Serve hot with your favorite LID condiments.5 Serve with pita bread or homemade LID hamburger rollServings: 6
