About the glaucoma moduleThe module will cover the theoretical knowledgeneeded to detect and manage this eye disease. It willcover the structural and functional losses seen inglaucoma and the therapeutic options. Emphasis willbe placed on the instrumentation and techniquesused in management and their theoretical basis/modeof operation. It is intended that those who graduatefrom this unit will have an advanced knowledge ofthis condition with a practical understanding of thelatest methods of detection and managementThe Module draws upon the expertise of a largenumber of academic and clinically qualified staffwithin the University of Manchester and ManchesterRoyal Eye Hospital.Successful completion of the glaucoma module canform part of an MSc in Investigative Ophthalmology &Vision Sciences.
