Participation in Mutual Self-help Self help Groups
The use of mutual self-help self help groups is a key tool for
the clinician to assist clients with substance use
disorders as well as clients with mental disorders
(Dupont, 1994). Dual recovery mutual self-help self help
approaches are becoming increasingly common in
larger communities. Clinicians are advised to seek
resources for those who do not speak English.
