Purpose: An instrument developed for the World Health Organization (WHO)<br />
by an international group of substance abuse researchers to detect detect<br />

manage substance use and related problems in primary and general<br />
medical care settings.<br />
<strong>Clinical</strong> utility: Screening test for alcohol, cigarettes, and illegal drugs.<br />
Groups with whom this instrument has been used: Adults and adolescents,<br />
valid for cross-cultural cross cultural use.<br />
Format: The questionnaire consists of eight questions covering 10 main<br />
substance groups.<br />
Administration time: 5-10 10 minutes<br />
