Engineering & Project Management• Assessment of applications for RSW cards• 2 methods:– Submission of application to Onsite and completedonline by contracted provider– Completed prior to upload of evidence by in-companyapproved external assessor• Applications to become approved external assessors aresubmitted to ARTC as an application for a RSW card12/09/2012 ARTC Competency Management System 12


Signals• Working to a different timetable• Signals matrices and competencies in Onsite• Competency information on existing SOC holders will be transferred toOnsite without need to be supplied again• ARTC will require evidence if SOC competencies are not current or held• Exceptions:– Medical must be by an approved authorised health professional– All current SOC holders must complete a new 100point ID check at Australia Post -except overseas holders• Timings:– 1 September 2012 – cutoff date for issue of SOCs and all applications are to be viaOnsite for RSW cards– 1 September – 1 January – all SOC holders transitioned to RSW cards– 1 January 2013 – all signals RSW to hold new cards• Note – select around the track personnel if going on track12/09/2012 ARTC Competency Management System 13


Safeworking• Working to a different timetable• Required by 30 September - Cat 1 medical/TSA/TTSA/ currentsafeworking competencies issued by an approved RTO/Rail Operator• New role titles and training requirements have been amended toreflect commonality with Metro Trains Melbourne• Contractors holding safeworking qualifications are required toupgrade to the relevant units from the Transport and Logistics 2010Version 2 training package. These upgrades will happen during recertifications,and are due by 30 September 2015• Note this is a different schedule to MTM12/09/2012 ARTC Competency Management System 14
