Prohibited andrestricted itemsIf you are posting aerosols, alcoholic beverages,lithium batteries, nail varnish, perfumes oraftershaves, you must comply with the rulesthat came into force on 14th January 2013.


On 14th January 2013 updated rules for sending small quantities ofspecific consumer items in UK and international mail came into effect.We wrote to all our contract and account customers on 31st October2012 to notify you of these changes, which are summarised as follows:Consumer Item Allowed in UK MAIL Allowed in International MAILAerosols(toiletry or medicinal purposes only)Yes, but with restrictions* NoAerosols (for any other purpose) No NoAlcoholic beverages (above 24%ABV and not greater than 70% ABV)Yes, but with restrictions* NoLithium batteries (sent in isolation) No NoLithium batteries(sent with equipment)Lithium batteries(sent contained in equipment)Yes, but with restrictions* NoYes, but with restrictions* Yes, but with restrictions*Nail varnish, polish and gel Yes, but with restrictions* NoPerfumes and aftershaves Yes, but with restrictions* No* Volume, quantity, packaging, labelling and product restrictions may apply.It is your responsibility as the sender to check the list of prohibited andrestricted items and comply with any applicable packaging, volume, quantity,labelling and product restrictions that apply.
