The barrier effectof AQUASTOPin the osmos<strong>is</strong>REPAIR SYSTEMIATTENTION:ALWAYS APPLYTHE RECOMMENDEDQUANTITYOF AQUASTOP!In the case of new boats, the gel-coat acts as an waterproofbarrier. When osmos<strong>is</strong> occurs, the gel-coat must be removedcompletely and replaced with an Aquastop coating of at least600 microns.ATTENTION. On the market you can find sometimes glass laminatesof poor quality, which may affect the performance of theAQUASTOP system.In th<strong>is</strong> case we recommend to apply an additional coat ofAQUASTOP with brush as a sealer, prior to the application the repairsystem of 600 microns.REMARK. It <strong>is</strong> of outmost importance to comply with thethickness specified by <strong>Veneziani</strong>.You can check the thickness as follows:Measure the thickness during application with a wet thicknessgauge.OrApply, independently from the number of coats and the applicationmethod, the recommended liters, using the theoreticalcoverage of AQUASTOP for the calculation: 5m 2 /L.Example. For a hull of 30 m 2 you need 6,6 L of AQUASTOP per coat with a totalconsumption of about 20 L for the whole repair system.
