• Purchase and register a SmartTrip card fromMETRO, any participating stores (CVS,grocery stores, etc)•Complete an application for Smart Benefitsfrom your Point of Contact and attached copyof back of card•Return your application on or before the 10 thof the month start date.

To register yourcard, go online to smartrip.comYour benefits will not rollover so funds notused by end of each month is removed


Participants may not claim a previousor future month’s benefitEmployees must authorize <strong>NOAA</strong> to verify andmodify required certification informationassociated with your SmarTrip cardOnce the funds have been transferred to yourSmarTrip card, they may not be removed.However, you are responsible forreturning any unused benefits to youragency if you leave service or changeagencies.

Can Smart Benefits be used for Parking?No, your benefit is not authorized for parking,but your SmarTrip card can be used at Metrorailstation lots with your own funds added forparking expenses.Can my personal money be taken from mySmarTrip card account?No, your personal money or claimed benefitcannot be taken from your SmarTrip cardaccount.
