The TenCate Tecasafe ® collection is a range of inherently flame-resistant fabrics.
XL 9700/XL 9701 – 240 g/m 2 (TenCate Tecasafe ® Plus)
XL 9700 (Light colours)
47/37/15/1% ppan-fr/cellulosic/aramid/Static-Control
XL 9701 (Dark colours)
44/35/20/1% ppan-fr/cellulosic/aramid/Static-Control
TenCate Tecasafe ® Plus - XL 9700 and XL 9701 are comfortable, light-weight
fabric solutions with inherently heat- and flame-resistant properties.
The fabrics provide durable and affordable protection for workers that
may be exposed to a flashover or an electric arc flash. Due to the special
bio-cellulosic fibre in the composition, this fabric is soft and with superior
moisture management properties.
Outstanding value – Suitable for application in protective clothing used in,
for example the petroleum, petrochemical, energy, electrical engineering,
utilities sectors, and fire fighters’ station wear.
Multi-risk protection – Protects against flashover, heat and flame, electric
arc, static electricity and liquid chemicals .
Optional: High-visibility yellow – XL 9700 complies with EN 471: 2003.
Flashover protection – Optimum protection against third-degree burns.
Such wounds do not heal of their own accord, making a skin transplant
unavoidable.
Low thermal shrinkage – In a flashover, the fabrics show low shrinkage and
therefore provide greater protection.
Superior thermal protection – Tested according to
EN ISO 11612 A1,A2,B1,C1: 2008 (Industrial heat and flame hazards).
Anti-static for explosion risk protection – TenCate Static-Control TM is a core
conductive filament yarn and is ‘gridlocked’ into the fabric (complies with
EN 1149-5: 2008, test method EN 1149-3: 2004).
Comfortable – Feels soft and supple, thanks to special cellulosic fibre
component.
Limited chemical protection – Protects against splashes, thanks to
Hydro-Tec finish (complies with EN 13034: 2005).
Highly durable – Excellent pilling performance and tear strength.
FR properties are built-in with excellent price/quality performance.
Environmentally friendly – Special cellulose fibres replace cotton fibres and
are therefore a lot greener.
