We will developstrategies to extend our reach on digital and non-broadcastplatforms, such as developing DVD and online projects, exploring digital delivery and rights management, andidentifying growth opportunities in the emerging onlineeducation market.LegacyDocumentary production is one of the most importantmeans of creating a considered national record thatextends beyond the reportage of news and current affairs.Good documentary programs interpret and contextualise;they promote understanding and provoke dialogue.Film Australia’s programs deal with matters of nationalinterest or illustrate and interpret aspects of Australian life. This provides for a key pillar in our strategic objectives: theshaping of a social and cultural record of Australia. Includedin this is the occasional need to provide an Australian pointof view on regional or international issues.Film Australia is required by government to own thecopyright of its productions and to manage that copyright onbehalf of the Commonwealth.
