MEMR took responsibility for inviting participants, organizing the venue and catering. CO2CRC’sinvitation list was incorporated into the MEMR list. The Indonesian Coal Society organized the printing of workshop binders and CDs at very short notice. The venue was provided by MEMR without charge. The UK Embassy in Jakarta and the Global CCSInstitute provided financial support for the other venue costs such as audio/visual and catering. The GlobalCCS Institute also provided financial support for other costs (such as printing) for the APEC trainingmaterials and workshops. The tight timeline around moving from an APEC workshop to a joint workshop provided some challengesfor the project team, but the significant profile that the joint workshop had as a result of high levelministerial involvement would have been difficult to achieve as a stand-alone event. In addition, the abilityto participate with the IEA in the roundtable meeting with government officials at the end of the workshopprovided the project team with an opportunity to clarify the options for Indonesia to contribute todeployment of CCS.The workshop timings were approximately right, although the early morning start on Day 2 was delayeddue to traffic problems. To accommodate the late start, the panel sessions planned for Day 2 and Day 3were rolled into one panel session on Day 3.Workshop attendanceThe workshop was well attended. The first day, being the launch of the CCS study and the joint workshopby two Indonesian government ministers attracted a large group. By the afternoon session, this had thinnedto 150 participants. Day 2 had 70 participants on average and Day 3 (morning) had 56 participants onaverage. Participants signed in at a registration desk each day and the summary numbers are given in thetables below.
