The first highlight of your safari will be a sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River. Camp<strong>in</strong>g willbe <strong>in</strong> Kasane at a campsite with permanent ablutions. (L, D)Day 2: Susuwe/West Caprivi National Park, camp<strong>in</strong>gYou will depart Kasane early to cross the Namibian border and then drive to Susuwe National Park. Aftersett<strong>in</strong>g up camp you will explore the area on an afternoon game drive. Camp<strong>in</strong>g is <strong>in</strong> a designated campsitewith permanent ablutions. (B, L, D)Day 2: Kasane – Susuwe: 270km, 3-4hrsDay 3: Popa Falls, camp<strong>in</strong>gYou will rise with the sun and head west towards the Okavango River. You will camp on the banks of theOkavango River overlook<strong>in</strong>g Popa Falls and have the opportunity to visit these rapids <strong>in</strong> the afternoon.Camp<strong>in</strong>g is <strong>in</strong> a designated campsite with permanent ablutions. Day 4: Tsodilo Hills, camp<strong>in</strong>gAfter a very early start we visit the jewel that is Mahango National Park before cross<strong>in</strong>g the border to reenterBotswana. You will journey through to the World Heritage Site of Tsodilo Hills and set up camp. Thisafternoon you will visit the museum and explore the walk<strong>in</strong>g trails around the ancient hills, home to thousandsof traditional Bushmen pa<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>gs dat<strong>in</strong>g back to 800 AD. Camp<strong>in</strong>g is <strong>in</strong> a designated site with permanentablutions. (B, L, D)Day 4: Popa Falls - Tsodilo Hills: 120km, 4hrsDays 5-6: Okavango Delta, camp<strong>in</strong>gRis<strong>in</strong>g with the sun, you will drive to the edge of the Okavango Delta, a special corner of paradise. You willtransfer your equipment to motorboats, cruise along the narrow papyrus-l<strong>in</strong>ed channels enjoy<strong>in</strong>g theexquisite birdlife of the region as well as the stunn<strong>in</strong>g landscape. Deeper <strong>in</strong> the Delta you will meet the localpolers with their mokoro (a traditional dugout canoe) and enjoy a tranquil transfer to an island. You will spendtwo days explor<strong>in</strong>g this beautiful area on mokoro excursions and tak<strong>in</strong>g guided walks on the islands andfloodpla<strong>in</strong>s of the Okavango. You will camp wild with bush ablutions. (B, L, D)Day 5: Tsodilo Hills – Okavango Delta: 120km, 2hrsDay 7: Maun, camp<strong>in</strong>gInspired by the beauty of the Okavango you will travel south to Maun. You will have the option of tak<strong>in</strong>g ascenic flight over the Delta to Maun (1hr scenic flight is EUR 135 per person, m<strong>in</strong>. 3 guests to guarantee theflight). This magical experience provides another perspective of the Okavango Delta’s unique water systemand if you choose to take the flight, you will enjoy a leisurely afternoon <strong>in</strong> the Delta campsite writ<strong>in</strong>gpostcards or read<strong>in</strong>g a book while you wait for your afternoon flight. Your guide will travel to Maun with thevehicle to resupply for the next stage of your adventure. After collect<strong>in</strong>g you at the airport, you will shopfor dr<strong>in</strong>ks and then spend the night at a campsite just outside Maun with permanent ablution facilities.(B, L, D)Day 7: Okavango Delta – Maun: 320km, 4hDays 8-10: Moremi Game Reserve, camp<strong>in</strong>gFrom Maun you will drive through to Moremi Game Reserve, one of the best wilderness areas of Botswanawhich covers swamp and dry areas. The next three days will be spent search<strong>in</strong>g for the wide variety ofwildlife and birds that this area is renowned for while absorb<strong>in</strong>g the sounds and beauty of this region. Gamedrives <strong>in</strong> the early morn<strong>in</strong>g as the sun rises and <strong>in</strong> the late afternoon as the sun sets will be the norm. Afteryour morn<strong>in</strong>g game drive you will return to camp for lunch and a siesta. Camp<strong>in</strong>g will be <strong>in</strong> private designatedcampsites with bush ablutions. (B, L, D)Day 8: Maun – Moremi Game Reserve: 150km, 6h (<strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g game drive)2


Days 11-13: Chobe National Park, camp<strong>in</strong>gChobe National Park, with its diverse and strik<strong>in</strong>g landscapes, will be your next dest<strong>in</strong>ation. As you cont<strong>in</strong>ueyour search for wildlife, you will traverse the drier region of Savuti where bull elephants dot the pla<strong>in</strong>s. Youwill then head northwards to the Chobe River where your game drives will meander along the banks of theriver, followed by the call of the majestic <strong>Africa</strong>n Fish Eagle. Camp<strong>in</strong>g will be <strong>in</strong> private designated areaswith bush ablutions. (B, L, D)Day 11: Moremi – Savuti: 120km. 5-6hDay 12: Savuti - Chobe River: 170km, 5hDays 14–15: A night <strong>in</strong> a comfortable lodge <strong>in</strong> Liv<strong>in</strong>gstone, chalet accommodationAfter a morn<strong>in</strong>g game drive you will cross the Zambezi River by ferry and then drive to Liv<strong>in</strong>gstone on theZambian side of the Victoria Falls, (Visa required), where you will spend the night at a comfortable lodge. Inthe afternoon there will be time to visit the thunderous Victoria Falls and shop for curios. D<strong>in</strong>ner will be atyour own expense at the lodge. The safari officially ends at 10h00 on Day 15. Bush Ways is happy to arrangepost-tour accommodation, activities and transfers to Liv<strong>in</strong>gstone airport or lodges, Victoria Falls airport orlodges or Kasane, Botswana, at an additional cost.
