E Y E O N A R B O N N EREDEFINEYOUR LIFELooking back, I often wonder how I could have been expected to choosea career path that would determine my future at such a young age. It neveroccurred to me that if I attended college, obtained a degree and began acareer in my fi eld, other options were still available if I wanted to changemy situation. Since beginning my business with Arbonne, I can now say ithas become a reality in my life: I can have the best of both worlds! When ENVP Danielle White fi rst approached me with Arbonne’s productsand opportunity, I was working as a full-time pharmacist in Charleston,SC, had recently married my wonderful husband, Mike, and had movedaway from my hometown, Cincinnati, OH. It was extremely diffi cult toleave behind a family I adore, never-ending friendships and a city I stilllove to this day. As a pharmacist, I was on the road a majority of the weekin order to obtain a more fl exible schedule. However, the nights awayfrom Mike and the “homesick” feelings for Cincinnati were constantlyin the pit of my stomach. I needed something to create balance in mylife, where I could have a career as a pharmacist working in the city Iresided, yet still have the fl exibility to visit Cincinnati. Most importantly, Iwanted to live happily with Mike while staying in Charleston. Somethingwas missing and if I did not fi nd the solution quickly, I was beginning tofear what the future would hold.Starting my business with Arbonne was exactly what I needed, however,it took me awhile to fi gure out where this company would lead me. Thefriendships, experiences and journey I was about to take would foreverchange my life. My fi rst business builder and dear friend, Mandy Mixson, jumped in with me in July of 2005 and we quickly promoted to AreaManager. From Mandy’s business came an Ace in Sandra Connell, andtogether with the rest of my team, we promoted to Region! It was ankathryn finleyIndependent Consultant, Regional Vice PresidentKathryn Finley Region; Charleston, SCeye-opening surprise and the best part of it was seeing the success ofmy downline, many of whom promoted to Area and District Managersin those two months of qualifi cation. They were more than deservingof their new titles!Soon after promoting, I began working as a part-time pharmacist, whichhas given me the ability to visit my family and friends in Cincinnatimore frequently. Above all, Mike and I are truly happy with our newlives in Charleston!continued ...Katie, her husband, Mike and new puppy, “Chaz.”Katie and her sister and best friend, Sarah Hood. The Katie Finley Region at ACTnow Orlando, 2006.
