Nodulaid N/T InoculantAn advanced inoculant that can take yields higherNitrogen-fixing rhizobia are the active ingredients in all inoculants. They increase nodulationin legume crops for more fixed nitrogen, which can result in higher yields. However this is whereother inoculants stop and Nodulaid N/T becomes unique.A unique inoculant that contains 2 componentsWith Nodulaid N/T you get all the yield benefits from rhizobia in a nitrogen-fixing inoculant, plus the boost from a second powerful Nodulating Trigger – Bacillus subtilis.NodulaidPeat inoculantNodulatingTriggerContaining a PlantGrowth PromotingRhizobacteria (PGPR)(Bacillus subtilis)N/T stands for Nodulating TriggerInclusion of the Nodulating Trigger results in more and healthier nitrogen-fixingnodules per plantSuperior nodulation equals potential for increased nitrogen fixationNodulaid N/T produces greater, more vigorous plant root structureNodulaid N/T results in greener, healthier early season plant foliageSets the crop up for a higher yield potential

Nodulator Clay GranulesGranular inoculants can simplify the task of inoculating a pulse crop. Placing Nodulator granulesinto the soil adjacent to pulse seeds at sowing allows the roots to be inoculated as they emerge.Nodulator Clay Granules are different:A unique manufacturing process results in smooth-surfaced granules of uniform size, which allows for superior flow, more accurate metering, and precision placement in the furrowThe Nodulator Clay Granule formulation process also results in a highly durable, dust-freegranule. It therefore maintains its physical integrity as it moves through seeding equipment, resulting in less downtime to clean lines, and greater confidence in placement with seedNodulator Clay Granules have in excess of 10 million live rhizobia per gram of granules. This guaranteed high level of rhizobia*, coupled with precision placement, results ina high level of rhizobium per metre of crop rowWhen germinating seeds and developing root systems have easy access to higher levelsof inoculant, they will nodulate and fix nitrogenCount on Nodulator Clay Granulesfor better flow and better performanceDust and lump-free formulationUniform size and smooth surface for superior flowHigh counts of live rhizobiaPrecision placementConsistent performanceImproved nodulationIdeal for ‘dry seeding’*Becker Underwood guarantees that prior to release every batch of Nodulator Clay Granules exceeds this minimum standard of10 million rhizobia per gram of granules. Every batch has a Certificate of Analysis (COA) as part of our ISO9001 Quality Assurance.

THE VALUEOF INOCULATINGThe nitrogen that is fixed by a pulse cropand becomes available for the next cerealcrop is one of the unseen and perhapsundervalued benefits of growing legumes. The amount of fixed nitrogen returned tothe soil can be substantially increasedby inoculation, even when grain yield isnot greatly improved.Pulse crops such as field peas, fababeans, lentils and chickpeas mayappear green and healthy throughoutthe growing season and yield well, but they may in part be relying onmineral nitrogen in the soil rather thancontributing nitrogen to the system viabiological nitrogen fixation. There is at present no commercialtest available to measure the numberof rhizobia in soils and because therhizobia for different pulses are adapted todifferent soil conditions it can be difficultto predict if and when rhizobia inoculationis needed. Many growers assumethat once the legume hasbeen grown, further inoculationis probably not worth the hassle. In a survey conducted by SARDI theresults showed that this is not true formany soils. On average 62% of soils tested fromWA and 18% of soils tested from SA andVictoria had very low numbers of pea rhizobia(

ChickpeasChickpeas are an introduced crop and, as such, seeds must be inoculated with the correct strainof rhizobia before planting. The strain of rhizobiaused for chickpeas is highly specific. Inoculationis essential for effective nodulation.Nodulaid N/T with the addition of the NodulatingTrigger – Bacillus subtilis has demonstratedsuperior nodulation of chickpeas.Chickpeas can be inoculated with eitherNodulaid N/T Chickpea GROUP N, NodulaidChickpea GROUP N, or Nodulator ChickpeaGROUP N Clay Granules.Nodulaid N/T Chickpea GROUP N InoculantChickpeaLarge pack = 500kgs of seedDirections for Use:Simply mix peat into a slurry thenadd N/T sachet to slurry mixApplication Methods:Applied as a seed treatment or liquid injectionMixes readily with water to form an easy-to-apply slurryor remains suspended in a tank mixSow seeds within 24 hours of treatmentNodulator Chickpea GROUP N Granular InoculantProduct Information:Nodulator is available in 25kg bags1 bag treats between 4–9 hectares*Application Methods:Sow utilising the small seeds box at time of sowing seedVaried sowing rates for wider sowing space makesNodulator even more convenient and economicalProlonged inoculant life allows early sowing ahead of rain*Refer to varied sowing rate table on page 5 of this brochure.
LupinsBoth Australian Sweet Lupins (Narrow leaflupin) and Albus lupins should be inoculatedwith GROUP G inoculant.Becker Underwood research hasconsistently shown a positive yieldresponse from inoculating lupin cropsat sowing. These positive responses haveoccurred even in paddocks that have hada recent history of a previous lupin crop. This indicates that a decision to not inoculateis unlikely to lead to an optimal crop result.Inoculation of each new lupin crop is goodinsurance to ensure a successful crop.Inoculating lupin seed with Nodulaid N/T Lupin GROUP G inoculant increases the levelof crop nodulation. Achieving a greater level of nitrogen fixation by the lupin crop has theadditional beneficial impact of supplying free nitrogen for any non-legume crop that is grownthe following season.Dry sowing of lupins prior to the season “break” requires that the inoculant remains dormantin the soil until germination occurs. Seeding with Nodulator Lupin GROUP G Clay Granules isan ideal method of placing inoculant in the soil with lupin seed. Nodulator Clay Granules protectthe rhizobium until there is a germinating rainfall.Water injection of Nodulaid N/T into the seed row at planting is another excellent method ofdelivering inoculum into the root zone.Nodulaid N/T Lupin GROUP G InoculantLupinLarge pack = 500kgs of seedDirections for Use:Simply mix peat into a slurry thenadd N/T sachet to slurry mixApplication Methods:Applied as a seed treatment or liquid injectionMixes readily with water to form an easy-to-applyslurry or remains suspended in a tank mixSow seeds within 24 hours of treatment

Vetch, TareInoculate Vetch and Tare seed with NodulaidGROUP E Pea inoculant. This applies regardlessof the cropping history of the paddock. In situations favourable to the persistenceof rhizobium in the soil, crops may nodulatewithout inoculation. Experience has shown, however, that often a less efficient rhizobialstrain has nodulated the crop and nitrogenfixation is low. Therefore inoculation isrecommended in all circumstances.Nodulator GROUP E/F granules areanother method of inoculating Vetch and Tareat establishment.Nodulaid Pea GROUP E InoculantVetch, TareLarge pack = 500kgs of seedDirections for Use:Simply mix peat into a slurryApplication Methods:Applied as a seed treatment or liquid injectionMixes readily with water to form an easy-to-apply slurryor remains suspended in a tank mixSow seeds within 24 hours of treatmentNodulator GROUP E/F Granular InoculantProduct Information:Nodulator is available in 25kg bags and 350kg Plus + Paks1 25kg bag treats between 4–9 hectares*1 Plus + Pak treats between 50-125 hectares of seed*Application Methods:Sow utilising the small seeds box at time of sowing seedVaried sowing rates for wider sowing space makesNodulator even more convenient and economicalProlonged inoculant life allows early sowing ahead of rain*Refer to varied sowing rate table on page 5 of this brochure.
