For the fourth time in succession, the TV spot of thecampaign was created by McCann-Erickson Pragueadvertising agency. Currentlythe Orpheus network has 33 members and ICN hasbeen the only representative of the Czech Republicsince the network’s establishment in 1994.IN PARTNERSHIPWITH SPIRALIS CIVIC ASSOCIATIONThe main goal of ICN’s collaboration with the civicassociation Spiralis is to provide services to non-profitorganizations in the area of communication with thepublic. In 2004 this consisted of two projects.„Approach to Successful Fundraising“The goal of the project was to contribute to theeffectiveness of Czech NGO fundraising and tothe sustainability of Czech NGO development. Incooperation with Spiralis, ICN secured a researchproject mapping fundraising levels among CzechNGOs. ICN also participated in setting up the programand in organizing a two-day international workshopcalled “Approach to Successful Fundraising” whichtook place between January 29 th and 30 th , 2004at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Prague. Asa final part of the project, training in fundraisingwas provided by foreign lecturers. Results of theresearch and the entire project are available atwww.spiralis-os.cz. The foreign lecturers trainedaltogether 40 representatives of Czech NGOs.The project was financed by Phare EU through NROS(Civil Society Development Foundation).“The 2004 NGO Sustainability Index”At the end of 2004 ICN and Spiralis producedThe 2004 NGO Sustainability Index for the CzechRepublic. The Index was produced for USAIDwhich has been monitoring the strengthening anddevelopment of the non-profit sector in Europe andEurasia in this way since 1997. Every year USAIDpublishes this document on the non-profit sectorthroughout the world.
