Fitness Center NewsMemoriesJayme SussnerHealth and Fitness DirectorThe Fitness Center expansion willbe underway next month! You, as amember, may not see progress until laterthis spring as much of the preparationswill be completed behind the scenes first.Construction will begin in February2011 with as little disruption to regularbusiness as possible.To give you a better idea of the newfitness center space, here is a timelineof events:February:Demolition and behind the scenespreparationsMarch and April:Build out of*2 group exercise studios*Child care center*Restroom facilitiesMay:Finishing touchesJune 2011:Open for business!We are excited for all of the opportunitiesthis expansion will provide.Weekend Spinning Classes:Saturdays, 8:30-10:00 a.m.Voted by the Fitness Center Staff in the areas ofAttendance, Performance Achievement and AttitudeSuzie ColianniSuzie has been a member for14 years. She spends much ofher winter downhill skiing,including owning and teachingfor a traveling women’s alpineschool called Ski-Away. Whenshe’s not skiing, Suzie enjoyssnowshoeing, biking, hiking,and kayaking. Suzie trains twicea week and works out on herown the other days. Suzie hasmaintained a very high level offitness and continues to look fornew ways to be challenged. Herhigh energy and enthusiasm arewelcome traits that she brings tothe fitness center. “Working out atthe Minneapolis club is a pleasure,”says Suzie. “The trainers really careabout the members’ health and wellbeing,providing a comfortable andmotivating atmosphere to exercise.”Mark your calendars for...Cardio Core Express:Wednesdays, 12:00-12:45 p.m.Hudie BroughtonHudie’s 2010 fitness programwas equal parts discipline andvariety. When training at theClub, he incorporated spinningand F.I.T classes into his weeklyroutine, along with regularpersonal training sessions withAmber Esch, and an occasionalkickboxing or Yoga class. Whenexercising away from the club,he’s usually on one of his bikes,averaging over 100 miles perweek.
