Thecutoff frequency can be varied from 2.2 to 4.0 GHzby applying a single analog tuning voltage between0 and 14V. This low pass filter provides a low 3.8 dBinsertion loss, 10 dB return loss and 1.25 x ƒcutoffstopband attenuation of >20 dB. This tunable filtercan be used as a much smaller alternative to physicallylarge switched filter banks and cavity tuned filters.The HMC881LP5E has excellent microphonicsdue to the monolithic design, and provides a dynamicallyadjustable solution in advanced communicationsapplications.
