Applicants mustapply early to have a completed file for the February 1st deadline for the Nursing Admissions Committee.Applicants approved for admission to the Nursing Program will begin their studies in August.Deadline for Non-US Transcripts for Nursing Applicants: Transcripts for Non-US secondary school and postsecondary school coursework must be official and must be received by December 1st - two months prior to theNursing Committee deadline in order to have sufficient time for evaluation.INTERNATIONAL UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONSREQUIREMENTSThe following requirements must be met for admission to Purdue University Calumet.1. You must meet the Academic Standards for admission set by Purdue University Calumet’sAcademic Departments.4. For admission into a degree seeking major, you must prove proficiency in the English Languageby achieving one of the following and submitting an official test score report or transcript:a. A TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 550, paper and pencil test, or 79,internet Based TOEFL (iBT).b. A grade of at least a B in English at the ordinary level of G.C.E. (General Certificate of Education)or G.C.S.E. (General Certificate of Secondary Education).c. A Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) verbal score of 480 or greater.d. Transferable credit from an accredited US institution of higher education equivalent to Purdue UniversityCalumet’s ENGL 104, English Composition course. English 104 equivalents are not guaranteed and are subjectto change at any time through the discretion of the Department of English & Philosophy.e. An IELTS (<strong>International</strong> English Language Testing System) Score of 6.5.Note: If you did not take or have low English proficiency scores for entry into a degree seeking major,you may still be eligible for admission into Purdue University Calumet’s English Language Program (ELP).If you are interested in ELP, please mark English Training on the application and English proficiency scoreswill not be required for admission.
