Senior Tracy Scott scored 21<br />
points and grabbed nine rebounds <strong>to</strong><br />
help <strong>Ohio</strong> Weslcyan defeat the<br />
Dlufnon Beavers 74-5- 8 last Tuesday<br />
night, and Saturday she scored 26<br />
points and pulled down nine more<br />
rebounds in a losing effort against the<br />
Kenyon Ladies. Both games were at<br />
Branch Rickey Arena.<br />
At Tuesday's game, Scott scored<br />
the Bishops' first seven points, and<br />
sophomore Karla I .ester scored 1 0 of<br />
<strong>Ohio</strong> Wesleyan's battling sports<br />

Kenyon Saturday night. Junior<br />
baseline Andy Seddelmeycr scored<br />
six of his team-hig- h<br />
1 7 points in the overtime session,<br />
four-poi- wiping out nt a deficit. Junior<br />
point guard Josh Peoples had 14<br />
points; senior baseline Dave Hale<br />
followed with 1 1 points and led the<br />
Bishops with a career-hig- h<br />
rebounds. Camillus finished with six<br />
points and led the Bishops with five<br />
assists.<br />

Junior Mike Fcdcrico won an<br />

up by two, but I lale tied the game at<br />
35 for the Bishops with one second<br />
remaining in the first halfby hitting<br />
two free throws.<br />
The second half was a seesaw<br />
battle as the two teams traded<br />
buckets. Seddelmeycr battled<br />
inside, scoring 14 points for the<br />
game, and Hale scored 12 of his<br />
game-hig- h 19 in the second half.<br />
Van Sickle 3-- shot 5 from three-poi- nt<br />
range, making 60 percent<br />
of his shots from there.<br />
Tied at 60 with 0:17 left <strong>to</strong><br />
play, junior Josh Peoples lost the<br />
ball as he tried <strong>to</strong> dribble through<br />
traffic, but Quaker Nathan<br />
Miller's last second shot fell<br />
short, sending the game in<strong>to</strong><br />
overtime.<br />
The Bishops scored the first<br />
six points in overtime, but the<br />
Quakers came right back behind<br />
her 14 points in the first half as the<br />
Bishops used outstanding transition<br />
play and <strong>to</strong>ugh defense <strong>to</strong> build a 35-3- 0<br />
halflime lead. Lester shot a<br />
blistering 75 percent from the field<br />
and 66 percent from three-poi- nt range.<br />
The second half was more of the<br />
same as freshman Megan Coughlin<br />
three-point- sank u er from the corner<br />
and senior Tricia Lahuda scored twice<br />
<strong>to</strong> push the Bishops' lead <strong>to</strong> 43-3- 5.<br />
Scott virtually dominated the<br />
offensive end. Senior AngicQuatman<br />
was also a force, grabbing a team-hig- h<br />
13 rebounds and scoring 13<br />
points. Quatman led the team with<br />
event and anchored a first-plac- e relay<br />
team, but Kenyon defeated the<br />
Bishops in NC'AC action. Fcdcrico<br />
won the 200 individual medley in<br />
2:12.02 and added a second in the<br />
500 freestyle and combined with<br />
junior Jim Campbell, senior David<br />
Dixon and freshman Matthew<br />
Ciilewicz, <strong>to</strong> win the 200 medley relay<br />
in 1:42.37. Other standouts included<br />
Dixon, who was second in the 200<br />
individual medley; Ciilewicz, who<br />
finished third in the 100 butterfly;<br />
junior Sean Cote, who was second in<br />
the three-met- er diving and third in the<br />
one-met- er diving; and sophomore<br />
Matt Dixon, who was third in the 100<br />
freestyle.<br />
Women's swimming: Bishops fall<br />
<strong>to</strong> Kenyon<br />
Junior Natalie Koukis claimed<br />
first-pla- ce the Bishops' only finish in<br />
an NCAC loss at Kenyon Saturday.<br />
Koukis won the 200 individual medley<br />

the play of Ricardo Hamil<strong>to</strong>n,<br />
who tied the game at 70 with five<br />
seconds remaining. Peoples' shot<br />
at the buzzer was off the mark,<br />
and the game plunged in<strong>to</strong> a<br />
second overtime period.<br />
Wilming<strong>to</strong>n outseored the<br />
Bishops 19-- 9 in the final five<br />
minute period as both<br />
Seddelmeycr and junior John<br />
C'amillus fouled out. Without<br />
these two key players, the Bishops<br />
could hold on no longer.<br />
C'amillus led the team with<br />
seven assists and scored 1 1 points<br />
in the losing effort.<br />

The Bishops scored the final<br />
eight points of the game behind points<br />
from Coughlin, Quatman, and senior<br />
Joanna Garcia.<br />
Saturday was n different s<strong>to</strong>ry<br />
when the 17-- 1 Kenyon Ladies came<br />
<strong>to</strong> <strong>to</strong>wn. Kenyon jumped out <strong>to</strong> a 10-- 2<br />
lead, but Scott helped the Bishops<br />
get back in<strong>to</strong> it with strong rebounding<br />
and post play, shooting a red hot 53<br />
percent from the field.<br />
Tough defense from senior<br />
Nicole Dolling and Lahuda helped<br />
in 2:27.80. Other standouts included<br />
freshman Nicole Campbell, who was<br />
second in the 200 individual medley<br />
and third in the 500 freestyle; junior<br />
Staccy Panago<strong>to</strong>pulos, who was<br />
second in the 1000 freestyle;<br />
sophomore I .aura Marean, who placed<br />
third in the 200 freestyle; senior<br />
Andrea Richard, who finished third<br />
in the one-met- er diving; and freshman<br />
Betsy Crooks, who was third in the<br />
three-met- er diving.<br />

runs.<br />
The Bishops closed the lead <strong>to</strong><br />
nine with 6:20 remaining in the game,<br />
but that is as close as they came.<br />
Quatman scored 1 0 points and snared<br />
nine rebounds in the loss. The loss<br />
dropped the Bishops <strong>to</strong> 8-- 9 on the<br />
week in review<br />
Jones finished second in the high<br />
jump and third in the triple jump.<br />
Other standouts included freshman<br />
David Crawford, who was fourth in<br />
the 55-met- er dash, filth in the 300-met- er<br />
dash and seventh in the long<br />
jump; Fischer, who was sixth in the<br />
800-mcterru- n; freshman Aaron King,<br />
