What’s the best part of producingHomework Hotline?A. Homework Hotline presents such a uniqueoutlet for students in need of help with theirhomework. Being able to hear that “oh” or “nowI get it” from behind the scenes is probably thebest part of producing the show. To know thatwe helped a student understand how to workthrough their homework is immeasurable. I’mreally excited about the future of the show,especially with the new technology we havebrought onto the set. This technology provides uswith tools, and limitless possibilities to better helpstudents with their homework questions as weventure into this new age of Homework Hotline.Q. Homework Hotline launched a new Website in 2007. Can you tell us a little about it?A. We are very excited about our newly launchedWeb site. Homeworkhotline.org is designed to bea destination for students, parents and teachersto get additional help with their homework,fi nd resources or just have fun. The Web sitereceives thousands of visitors m<strong>onth</strong>ly and offerseducational games, a video player with segmentsthat have been broadcasted on the show or justhelpful information. We know Homework Hotline is your favoritekids’ show on <strong>WXXI</strong>-TV, what’s your second?A. I’m truly a fan of Jakers! The Adventuresof Piggley Winks. I love the stories that are toldof Piggley Winks and his friends. The show isentertaining to watch, and the comic-relief ofWiley the Sheep is hilarious. I think the showis so well produced and animated, and reallyappeals to all ages.
