Sponsor RecognitionThroughout the years that the Southeast Chapter has been hosting its Annual Training Seminar, we have had torely on contributors and/or sponsors to help offset the tremendous cost of the event. We have had onecontributor that has stepped up to the plate each and every year without hesitation and provided the funds forour President’s Reception. That sponsor is Manheim Auto Auction and their representative Berta Phelps. Each year, the On Side Coordinator has contacted Berta who each time has graciously agreed to sponsor thePresident’s Reception which is held on Sunday Night and gives everyone the opportunity to meet and greet onthe first night of the conference. Not only has Berta agreed to sponsor the event, but she has gone above the call of duty by taking a lot of theworry off the On Site Coordinator by handling all of the details herself. She contacts the Host Hotel directhandling all of the details such as the menu, amounts, and billing. If any member should have contact with Berta and/or Manheim throughout the year, take a moment to tell themhow much you appreciate their dedication to the Southeast Chapter. Without sponsors and supporters such asthem, the President’s Reception would not be the event that we have grown to enjoy.Again, Berta and Manheim, a heart felt thanks from all of us for your generous support to our chapter.Special Award for Member Ron StoutRon Stout, Law Enforcement Liaison in the Maryland/Washington, D.C./Virginia area, was honored on June 22for his many contributions in the fight against auto theft in the region. I agreed to take onthe challenge because it is important to me that every member of the Southeast Chapter benefits from his or hermembership. The Website is a part of that benefit and with the assistance of Sgt. Smith and Steve Rogerson ofthe Warner Robins Police Department, it’s up and running. I wasn’t able to make it happen as quick as I wantedbut the hurdles have been crossed and I would encourage everyone to check it out. There are plans to expandit in the future with as much information as possible. The website is only as good as we make it and I wouldencourage everyone with ideas to contact me at bbrantley@warnerrobins.org. The website has taken on a newlook and I hope that everyone will find it informative. You can visit the Website at http://www.seiaati.org.Enjoy,Lt.
