To find text you are looking for, follow the steps below:<strong>Foxit</strong> <strong>PhantomPDF</strong><strong>User</strong> <strong>Manual</strong>• Choose Tools > Find Text… or select the Find Field on the toolbar• Type the text in the Find What field.• Click the drop-down button next to Find , and select the search options to limit yoursearch:A. Whole words only -- limits the search to match only whole words. For example, if yousearch for the word Read, the word Reader will not be found.B. Case-Sensitive -- makes the search case-sensitive. For example, if you search for the wordtext, the words Text and TEXT will not be found.C. Include Bookmarks -- enables you to search for a word in the whole text, includingbookmarks.D. Include Comments -- enables you to search for a word in the whole text, includingcomments.• Press the Find Next button, Find Previous button, or Enter. <strong>Foxit</strong> <strong>PhantomPDF</strong> jumps to thefirst instance of the search term, which appears highlighted.• Press Enter repeatedly or Tools > Find Next, or Find Next shortcut key F3 to continuesearching the next instances of the search term.Doing advanced searchThe search function enables you to search a string either in a single PDF file or in multiple PDFfiles under a specified folder. When the search finishes, all occurrences will be listed in a tree view,allowing you to quickly preview the contexts and jump to specific locations.1. Searching textTo search text you are looking for, follow the steps below:• Click the Search button on toolbar, or select Open Full <strong>Foxit</strong> Search from the Finddrop-down menu.• In the Search window, type the text you want to search for, and do any of the following:A. To search the text in the current PDF document, select In the current PDF document.B. To search the text in all PDF documents in specific files or disk, select All PDFDocuments in > choose one of the disks or <strong>User</strong>-selected search paths.C. To limit the search to match only whole words, check whole words only. For example, ifyou search for the word Read, the word Reader will not be found.D.
