SUMMER CAMPSPrivate Voice LessonsPrivate instruction is the best way for anyone to learnhow to sing. The one-on-one instruction means thatstudents are given instruction that best suits howthey as an individual learn. With private lessons ateacher can focus 100% of their attention on thatone student to ensure that things such as tone,posture or understanding of a particular conceptare correct. If a student has a particular difficultyin one area, the teacher can work on it withouthampering the progress of a class and alternativelyif a student is excelling in one area, the teacher canmove on. Students will receive 14 half hour privatelessons. Students will learn proper vocal techniquesand how to sing a wide variety of musical styles,and, more importantly, have fun! What are leads, and why isthat triangle upside down? How can you find andtell the stories that are all around you? This campwill explore the fundamentals of journalism andhow all of the parts work together to create newsand feature stories. Throughout the week, camperswill work on writing stories, taking photographs,and creating an online news source. Students whoare interested in writing, journalism, or mass mediaare encouraged to sign up. Learning to shoot a bow andarrow properly is important for success and can beaccomplished by anyone.
