One touchconference control makes it easy to focuson the conference participants and theissues at hand.Preset camera positionsWith the SX-M10 Conference System Control Unit, thevideoconference camera automatically captures individualspeakers during a conference. As delegates press their Mic. Onbutton to speak, the camera zoom, pan and tilt functions areautomatically changed to corresponding preset positions. In thisway, distance conferencing takes place as though everyone is atthe same location, with all participants being able to clearly hearand see each speaker.The camera will move sequentially to each speaker in theorder that the “MIC ON” button is pressed signaling theirdesire to speak.Up to six preset combinations of camera zoom, pan and tiltcan be memorized. One combination can be used as HomePosition if required.Superb Sound PerformanceTo clearly communicate, audio is an essential aspect of aneffective conference. The Sony Chairman/Delegate Units, theSX-C100A/D100A, provide optimum speech pick-up for clear,crisp audio communication. Built-in, uni-directional electretmicrophones provide excellent sound quality eliminatingdistraction from outside noise. The echo cancellation function,which is part of the Sony Videoconference system, contributesto the fine sound quality as well.SX-C100A/D100A Chairman/Delegate Units are selfcontained,with built-in uni-directional electretmicrophone and speaker. Up to 15 units can be connectedto one SX-M10.Echo canceling is included in Sony PCS Seriesvideoconference systems.A second video camera can be controlled by the SX-M10 toprovide an additional six preset shots, making a total of 12.
