SYMPTOMS: How do you know if someone has this disorder?o What are some physical signs?o Is the person born with these symptoms or do the symptoms occur later in theirlife? If onset is later in life, at approximately what age does a person begin to seethese symptoms? FREQUENCY:o How frequently does this genetic disorder appear among human births? (Example:1 out of every 5,000 births)o How frequently does this genetic disorder appear among certain populations?(Example: Sickle-cell anemia is more common among African-Americans.) TREATMENTo How are people helped?o Is there a way to prevent or alleviate some of the symptoms?o What research is being done in search of a cure? ILLUSTRATIONSo The poster must contain appropriate images about the genetic disorder that willattract a person to read it.o Strategically place these images on your poster - rather than randomly tapingthem down. For example, the image that shows a skin rash as a symptom of thedisorder should be placed next to the text that describes the different symptomsof the disorder; it should not be placed next the text that describes the cause ofthe disorder.o All images must be foot noted with a reference!
