For more details, seethe section on ’Selcall’ in this manual.CTCSSCTCSS can be enabled on the Receive-Only channels.MAINTAINING YOUR BATTERY PACKFor information on removing, fitting andrecharging the battery pack, refer to‘GETTING STARTED’ on page 5 ofthis manual.Your <strong>TX6200</strong> is supplied with a 7.2 Volt1200 mAh Ni-MH (Nickel Metal Hydride)rechargeable battery pack.When the battery pack is new, it must befully charged before being used for thefirst time.If left unused, your <strong>TX6200</strong>’s batterypack will discharge itself within a fewmonths. If you have not used your<strong>TX6200</strong> for some time, you will need torecharge the battery pack before use.The battery pack is a sealed unit. Thereare no user serviceable parts inside.LOW BATTERY INDICATORSWhen the battery voltage drops toaround 6 Volts, your <strong>TX6200</strong> will give6 quick beeps, BATT will flash on thedisplay and the Tx/Busy LED will flash‘Orange’ to indicate that the batteryneeds to be charged. You shouldrecharge the battery pack as soonas possible.If you have been transmitting using theHigh Power setting, you can extend thelife by switching to Low transmit power.BATTERY CHARGINGIt is recommended that you charge your<strong>TX6200</strong>’s battery using the BCT001trickle charger supplied. The BCT001 canrecharge your battery pack in around8-10 hours, less if there is still somecharge remaining. The charger will thencontinue to trickle charge the battery,however, for maximum long term batterylife it is recommended you disconnectthe charger when charging is complete.USE ONLY <strong>GME</strong> APPROVED BATTERY PACKSAND CHARGERS. USE OF OTHER TYPESMAY BE DANGEROUS AND WILL VOID THEWARRANTY. DO NOT CONNECT YOURVEHICLE’S 13.8 VOLT BATTERY SUPPLY TO THECHARGING SOCKET AS DAMAGE WILL RESULT.CYCLING YOUR BATTERY PACKCycling of your Ni-MH battery shouldnot be necessary.
