SCIENCE OF CLEAN COMBUSTIONCOMBUSTION CHAMBERIs made of special cast iron base and its walls are lined withvermiculite panels. Its shape and dimensions are optimized to alloweffective airflow control, which assists near perfect combustion.VERMICULITE LININGVermiculite panels insulate the walls of combustion chamber.They can sustain very high combustion temperatures, whichincreases efficiency of burning and decreases carbon emissions.Another characteristic of vermiculite is that it reflects the heatcreating powerful radiation. The result is very high efficiencyand heat-retention.AIR SUPPLY-POST COMBUSTIONOptimal combustion requires fresh air.There are two ways to feed fresh air into a combustion chamber:1. Primary air - igniting phase2. Secondary air - combustion phase and air wash of the glass paneAir supply is operated by one or two controls depending on the typeof fireplace. CONVECTION - EFFECTIVE AND FAST HEAT DISTRIBUTIONCONVECTION -A NATURAL SUBSTITUTE FOR ELECTRIC FANSConvection is a process, which creates airflow betweenthe inner and outer wall of the fireplace.As the temperature inside the combustion chamber rises, the surroundingair mass gets heated up and is being pushed out through the vents on topof the heater.The cold air is drawn in through the vents at the bottom of the heater atthe same time. This creates a constant air movement that continues whilethe heater is in operation.Convection combined with radiation through the glass work so effectivelythat properly operated fireplace will produce warmth quickly and willensure effective heat distribution throughout the building.
