As a member <strong>of</strong> the ASME Council on Standards and Certification,Vice Chair <strong>of</strong> the ASME Board on Pressure Technology Codes and Standards, Mr. Nayyar has made invaluablecontribution in effecting changes to codes and standards resulting in new rules and considerable savings byresolving technical issues for the code users. He has 45 years <strong>of</strong> design engineering experience on a variety <strong>of</strong>domestic and international projects. He provides engineering advice and code interpretations to seniormanagement and day to day guidance to all business lines <strong>of</strong> BECHTEL Corporation, a global & one <strong>of</strong> thelargest <strong>Design</strong> and Construction Company. He has developed and conducted training programs for clients andothers; published articles on valves, and Editor-in-Chief <strong>of</strong> The Piping Handbook, Sixth and Seventh Editions,published by McGraw-Hill Book Company and authored “Piping Data book”, First Edition, published byMcGraw-Hill, 2002. Currently, he is Chairman <strong>of</strong> the ASME B31, Standards Committee on Pressure PipingCode. He is the Vice Chairman, ISO TC5/SC 10, Subcommittee on Metallic Flanges and their Joints since 2003and also represents USA Technical Advisory Group <strong>of</strong> ISO technical committee no.153 as its member since2001 on <strong>Design</strong>, Manufacture and Marking <strong>of</strong> Valves. Mr. Nayyar has been recipient <strong>of</strong> several awards andhonors for his accomplishments and has his name listed in “Marquis Who's who in America and the World”since 1995.* Membership must be active at the time <strong>of</strong> course registration to avail the discounted course fee.
